Becoming a peer mentor means you are choosing to be a part of a community of youth who are passionate about social justice and transforming our world! Our 2 week summer program offers an opportunity for students in Canada to provide mentorship, English language support, and small group facilitation for international campers, while simultaneously building their leadership skills in a hands-on manner. Make the most out of your summer with this unique and life-changing experience that will allow you to learn, travel, and have fun!
Deepen your understanding of social justice issues and develop
critical thinking and communication skills
Get access to classroom materials and lessons while assisting
teachers in fun and creative activities
Expand your network and gain inspiration after meeting with
community leaders, politicians, and interns who are making a
difference in the lives of others
Build life-long friendships with peers from abroad
Get the opportunity to travel on a weekend trip to Ottawa and Gatineau, Quebec
Take part in fun but challenging outdoor activities to develop leadership capabilities, teamwork, and problem-solving skills
Visit different universities and discover choices for post-secondary institutions in Ontario
Go offline, enjoy the sun, interact with nature, and explore Canada like never before through various activities, games, and excursions
Mentor international campers with their English language development and small group projects
Get active in the community through organized volunteer work
Build your portfolio with your experiences teaching human rights education and working with international youth
Receive certificates of completion and distinction, along with letters of appreciation from Members of Parliament and/or Provincial Parliament

We are looking for 5 world-changers who are interested in joining Camp P.U.L.S.E. under the Peer Mentor Leadership Program. If you are 14-19 years of age, a resident of Canada (citizen, permanent resident, or refugee), an individual with strong English proficiency, and you have a passion for social justice and becoming a role model – then we want to hear from you!
Please note that although we welcome everyone to apply, only a total of 5 people will be selected for the program. Applications are assessed in the order in which they are received so make sure to register today!

Applicants being considered will be contacted for an interview within 2 weeks after submitting their application. Approved applicants must pay the program fee before May 31, 2020.
Under ALPHA Education, our camp is committed to ensuring equitable practices and opportunities related to individuals interested in registering for Camp P.U.L.S.E.'s Peer Mentor Leadership Program. Camp P.U.L.S.E. offers burseries to families on the basis of financial need. Bursary applications will be accepted soon. Applications are assessed in the order in which they are received. Applicants are strongly encouraged to apply early.
